The Youth Pastor must share the vision of the Elders for the making of disciples and leaders. The Youth Pastor must be able to teach, motivate, encourage and challenge youth, parents and youth sponsors/leaders in personal discipleship. The Youth Pastor is supervised by the Senior Pastor on a day-to-day basis, with job description and qualifications determined by the Elders. This will include oversight of the following areas:
The Youth Pastor will be responsible for developing and executing a Youth Ministry Program that accomplishes the following things: Contribute to the spiritual growth of our Youth Reinforce the teachings of parents, and encourage active parental involvement in the youth program Recruit, train and shepherd volunteer youth staff with diverse gifts and personalities Provide ministry/service opportunities for the Youth Reach out to the youth of the community
The Youth Pastor will accomplish these things through the execution and hands on involvement of the following programs (This list is not all inclusive): Youth programs for junior and senior high age groups Bible studies and small group events for youth Seminars for Parents Service Projects Mission Trips
