Reports to: Senior PastorThe Associate Pastor is the leader of the congregation's overall worship life,including the music ministry. He or she will also work with family life to coordinate youth, children and family Christian Education. He or she will work with the Senior Pastor, who will focus on the preaching/teaching ministry to provide carefully planned worship that will become the foundation of First Christian Church's life and ministry.
Primary Responsibilites:
1. Plan and help lead worship with Senior Pastor
2. Lead or oversee Leadership for: Adult choir, youth choir, children's choir, special music: duets,solos, chancel bells, etc.
3. Primary staff liaison with: Worship,Growth,Christian Education,Membership committee's, Deacons and Junior Deacons.
4. Lay participation in Worship- such as worship leaders, etc.
5. Family Life- Parents of youth and children
6. Wednesday on Madison
7. Sunday school and Nursery
8. Christian Travelers
9. Youth Ministry Supervision
10.Children's Ministry Supervision
11.Sound System:training,staffing and technical
12.Christmas pagent and other special events.
13.Caller- publication of events of church functions
Qualifications:
1. Understanting of biblical concepts
2. Minimum of a BA in Music or related field
3. Ability to become Licensed by the Region, if not Ordained
4. Knowledge of various worship styles
5. Choral Direction for various ages
6. Reasonable solo voice
7. Ability to lead congregational worship
8. Ability to supervise paid staff as needed
9. Ability to lead program areas of the church in addition to worship ministry
10. Computer literate
11. Adequate communication skills-oral and written
12. Drama

15. MIDI
16. Audio/visual equipment knowledge
17. Teaching in Family Life Ministry area
