Job Description:
FUMC of Land O Lakes, FL a vibrant and growing United Methodist congregation in central Pasco County, is seeking to fill the position of Director of Music Ministries. This could be filled by 2 part time persons, one Traditional Choir Director and one Contemporary Worship Leader, or 1 full time person depending on skills and experience.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
Development and delivery of compelling worship services utilizing the chancel choir, Praise Band, Drama Group, various small groups, ensembles and soloist.
Cultivate a collaborative environment
Praise Band Director/Accompanist for all music for the Contemporary Service
Coordinate special music for the Contemporary Service
Recruit members for music ministry
Coordinate music for extra worship services; coordinate with other musicians, as needed
Provide for special music when the Praise Band is not playing
Assure copyrights compliance
Ability to handle technical issues related to worship tech equipment
