Doorway of Hope is a Christian relief ministry that focuses on teaching successful life skills through programming and counseling to those within our community that have lost their way.

The Director will be responsible to work with a small staff to establish and launch programming, coordinate with existing community programs, direct fundraising efforts, and direct Christian volunteers within the ministry.

The present position will begin with about a 50% director and a 50% primary counselor and evolve into a full time director as the client load demands.

Required Qualifications:

College Degree or equivalent plus minimum of 2 years experience in the related field of counseling, communications, sales promotion, public relations, non-profit/religious ministry and fund raising.

An individual who possesses mature management skills, and who can work well with a Board of directors, a staff, volunteers, and community organization leaders. an individual that can function as a creative problem-solver.

An individual who possesses the ability to receive basic direction and then conceptualize and produce end use programming that will meet given objectives and strategies of the ministry.

Must have excellent communication and writing skills, as well as the ability to write effective promotional copy for distribution and fundraising.

A leader who possesses a logical thinking process for efficient work flow of all projects and requires little department or management supervision.

Must be able to function well as a team leader with a limited work force.
