Personal Requirements: Born-again relationship with Jesus Christ. Commitment to leading believers into the presence of God through worship. Personal integrity and self-motivated in the fulfillment of ministry. Wisdom and discretion concerning church life and ministry. Personal dress and appearance appropriate for ministry position. Talent and skill given to the Lord and anointed by the Holy Spirit.
Priciple Functions: 1)Worship Services 2)Sanctuary Choir 3)Special Music 4)Worship Team 5)Children's Choir 6)Video & Audio Technology 7)Administration 8)Discipleship 9)Assistant Pastor Duties(1/4 Time)
Distinctive Responsibilities: 1)Provide leadership for all worship services. Planning and leading in all worship services. Rehearse and train Worship Team. Train others in choir to lead in worship. Plan and coordinate all aspects of the music and worship ministry. Recruit, train and direct the sound, lightingand video teams 2)Provide leadership for special music. Recruit singers and musicians to participate in worship ministry. Rehearse and train these groups. Assist in planning of special musical guests for special events. 3)Rehearse and direct Sanctuary Choir and Children's Choir. Select music for bi-weekly choir specials. Select and arrange for major productions such as Easter and Christmas. 4)Prepare annual budget for music ministry. Oversee purchasing and maintenance of instruments, sound, lighting and video. Attend weekly staff meetings.
