Job Description:
Skilled and creative ORGANIST to serve in a vibrant, established music ministry with a full-time Pastor of Music Ministries, and many gifted musicians. This position may be F/T or P/T; exact responsibilities will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. At a minimum, the position requires 14-17 hours per week, incl. 5 visible hours at a Sunday service, a Wednesday choir rehearsal, and special services. Additional responsibilities, with appropriate compensation, are possible for the candidate with additional gifts.
Min Quals: excellence on organ; skills on piano and harpsichord also preferred. The equiv of a 4-year degree or greater in organ, exp. in a high quality church ministry preferred. Must excel at the accompaniment of congregational singing, organ performance (organ repertoire and hymn-based arrangements), choir rehearsal accomp, and collaboration with other musicians. Willing and able to be an active member of the church family at Camelback, strong team player, and servant’s heart. Salary commensurate with education, experience and responsibilities.
