Growing vibrant church, only 8 years old and located in central NC, is looking for a full-time Worship Arts Pastor. This position will lead our worship arts ministries, including music, drama, technology & other visual arts. Above all, this ministry position will be responsible for leading our members/attenders in engaging worship, which exalts and glorifies Jesus Christ and touches the hearts of a broad/diverse spectrum of people.
The candidate of choice will engage in a wide array of activities including:
Pastoring volunteers within the Worship Arts Ministry
Spiritual disciplines/ habits of devotions
Weekly planning of Worship Celebrations
Weekly leading of a Creative Arts Team
Weekly rehearsal for Sunday Worship
Leadership development of support staff and 100+ volunteers
Senior Staff team presence and participation
Continuing education
Long term planning for special events such as Easter, Christmas, etc...
The preferred candidate will have:
High energy & drive with an ability to inspire others
Exceptional relationship and leadership skills such as great communication, flexibility, and ability to influence change in a healthy manner
Experience with 100+ volunteers and managing part-time staff positions
Preferably a music degree, related musical training or significant musical experience in lieu of formal degree and proven experience leading worship for a congregation in excess of 1000 members
Vocal and/or instrumental giftedness
Ability to incorporate music creativity into the life of the church
Experience working with drama and/or visual arts preferred
Spiritual gifts of musical expression, administration and leadership
The Worship Arts Pastor will report directly to the Senior Pastor and will partner closely with the entire Senior Staff Team as well as volunteer leaders within the various worship arts programs. Please send your resume to jobs@newhopenc.org or call (919) 206-HOPE (4673).
